I worked my way up the corporate ladder from graduate through to Director, Partner and held Board-level positions. I am a senior leader and now accredited coach with over 20 years’ experience gained at ‘Big 4’ and ‘Tier 1’ professional services firms and FTSE 250 organisations.
During my career (and at all grades), I frequently observed and experienced coaches and mentors that were ‘coaching’ with the end-path already in mind. A fixed outcome that had already been set, with their own or organisational bias baked in. Whilst their intentions may have been good, my personal goals, needs, values & objectives were not met.
